"You can't beat a team that never gives up"

The Genesis Cup

The corporate event that builds team performance in a challenging environment

THE VALUES OF 'THE CUP'

Many of Britain's forward thinking companies have realised that today, their ultimate growth relies increasingly on the development of their personnel and how they communicate. The Genesis Cup builds further on this principal.

Effective Communication

Close Collaboration

Embracing Change

For any team to succeed, be it sport or business. All of the individuals within that team need to feel appreciated and involved. Sailing provides the ideal environment to bring out these vital communication skills.

With business facing increased pressure from: competition, the economy and resources, developing the soft skills of your staff is integral to your success. Sailing competitively highlights the need for close collaboration.

Shock, fear and denial are human responses to change. However, these traits need overcoming for businesses to adapt and thrive. It is therefore no co-incidence that The Genesis Cup takes place at sea.

"The Genesis Cup is a team sailing event for businesses with staff predominantly, or entirely, of non-sailing ability"

As a Chartered Marketer my approach to business growth is always to build from the inside out. Doing so, means that our clients can be confident that every business plan, scheme, campaign and employee they subsequently invest in has the greater potential for long-term sustainable growth.

So with businesses continuing to come under growing pressure from competition, developing your staff and the business units they work within becomes increasingly significant.

To champion the value of close collaboration, team development and effective communication we're hosting the 'Genesis Cup', an annual team sailing event for businesses with staff predominantly, or entirely, of non-sailing ability.

The event brings together teams of either four and five employees, giving them the chance to pit your company's team spirit and collaboration against others in identical yachts, over a minimum of two, and a maximum of four, races in the fairly sheltered waters of the Solent.

An RYA Yachtmaster will be assigned to each boat throughout the day giving you superb tuition and taking care of your crew's personal safety.

THE YACHTS

The boats used in the Genesis Cup are a matched fleet of Beneteau Oceanis 37's. They are ideal for novice racing as they provide a sizeable cockpit for the crew to communicate with each other.
